Summer Practicum Experience for MCAH Students
MCAH students strengthen their leadership and practice knowledge and skills by completing a 400-hour summer practicum. Typically, these placements are a 10-week, full-time work experience during the summer between the first and second year of the program. The practicum experience is required for all 2-year, 4+1, and concurrent degree program students.
Government, non-profit, private sector, and community-based health organizations provide internship and mentoring opportunities to MCAH students for field placements in the culturally rich and diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
